Living things organise themselves through their many, many interactions and inter-relationships. An ecosystem is a tapestry of biological, physical and chemical processes and components that have evolved to fit together to make a living community, like a forest full of animals and plants, a sea full of fish, or a crop we can eat.
We are a part of these tapestries and a custodian, creator and destroyer of them. They are threads in our hands.
